Illuminati Hotties - 2021 - Let Me Do One More

The last few years, Nick has hosted a Shlep Music Club show of member's favorite songs from that year. Some years I barely listen to any new music, and so often times I'll spend a week trying to catch up, going through year-end best of lists and that is how I happily discovered Illuminati Hotties.

My favorite kind of music I refer to as "palate cleansing". It usually has a punk element to it, some distortion, kind of like a scouring pad for the brain. Often times, I find it is a female-led band that rocks.

This band is essentially a marketing vehicle - or started that way anyhow - for producer Sarah Tudzin (turns out Craig had already knew her just from her producer credits). She did the first album to display her skills and, of course, people liked it. That led to this, her second. I love it.

A lot of her music has an early 60s girl group sound to it. Ain't nothin' wrong with that. I am smitten.
