The Pharcyde were from So. Central L.A. The members of the group first aspiration were as dancers, and they were good, but thankfully they took their appeal further, because their debut is one of the great albums of 90s hip-hop. They were fun, funny, and funky. "Oh Shit!" and "Ya Mama" are undeniably classic. "Passing Me By" is a classic in a different way... straight song that lingers. This album reminds me of one of my favorite people, Bobby Hernandez, who hired me back in 2004 and remains my good friend to this day. What's up, Fatlip?
