This 1979 debut by the London all female post-punk group The Raincoats was given a major revival by having a huge fan in Kurt Cobain. Like Daniel Johnston and The Vaselines, who Cobain also touted, his taste brought them to a much wider audience. It is why I bought the CD without ever hearing them. I remember I bought this and the self-titled Velvet Underground and The Feelies debut all at the same time. That was a great purchase. The Raincoats were living in squats in London and were inspired to form in 1977 when they saw a concert by the female punk group The Slits. The album is known primarily for their excellent version of The Kinks' "Lola", and on a lesser note, for Hole's cover of 'The Void". Courtney Love sucks. The Raincoats do not.
