The debut band from the quirky, sorta punk-era, New Jersey quartet, The Feelies is fucking great.
They have the angular sound one might associate with Gang of Four and that weird frenetic feel of Talking Heads.
They also seem to encompass a feeling of New Jersey, and by that I mean, an arrogant defiance, which is super cool.
Spiritual cousins of Yo La Tengo, and, doesn't Weezer owe them some love?
