Parquet Courts - 2014 - Sunbathing Animal

I used to work at a residential treatment program in the lower Haight in the early aughts (Monica also worked there - it is where we met). Back then, I was building my music collection just by burning the CD collection of everyone that would let me. I remember one lady shared a demo of her friend's kid, just 16...and years later, that kid released my favorite album of 2014. 

I played the hell out of this. Just sort of straight ahead rock, even then, seemed a refreshing rarity. I would love to see this band live one day, and I don't like going to shows.
