The Rolling Stones - 1971 - Sticky Fingers

 

You gotta skip "Brown Sugar". It is disturbing and racist and it should die. The Rolling Stones have given us so much though, that I will overlook it.

If you wanna debate "Brown Sugar", may I recommend Reddit.

 The second song, however, is my second favorite song of all time.

"Sway" is a song I dreamed about. It must have been like 2000 and I was going through my divorce, and living in Marin, and I dreamed that I was walking by the legendary Winterland - long gone by the time of my dream - and it was the afternoon. There was a side door open and I could hear the sound check going on, and I opened the door and The Rolling Stones were performing this song in the sunlight, the afternoon and even in that dream, I knew I was dreaming, but somehow, I knew it was some kind of sign that I was gonna be okay.

 That's enough.

 It is a great album regardless. And "Brown Sugar" is great, despite the racist shit.
