Tulip Sweet and Her Trail of Tears - 2000 - Touched

This little-known classic album will always remind me of Nick. Back when he lived on Dayton Ave. in St. Paul, I would visit him nearly every Christmas when I went back to see my family. Our times were always epic, and he always turned me on to good music (he still does)... and the song "Goodnight Parents" was getting some play on the University of Minnesota radio station. It is a great song about going home to visit the parents but going out at night and getting drunk with friends. The weekend I heard this at Nick's, we went out on New Year's Eve to Fabulous Ferns. There was a storm and the sidewalks were sheer ice on our walk back, and we were drunk, and we kept falling down and grabbing the other as we fell, and it was messy. We wrestled a little bit. The snow on the side of the sidewalks was like shards of tiny glass. The next morning we both were fucked up... cuts all over our faces from the snow and wrestling. Well, my Dad picked me up to take me back to his place and I made him stop at Cheapo Records to buy this CD. It is fabulous in every single way. They only put out two albums and I love them both so much.
