Nancy Dupree ran an after-school music program in Rochester, New York, and in 1968 recorded this album with her students. It is a remarkable document, and accomplishment. She helped her students, who were elementary school age, workshop their ideas and help develop them to fruition. There are tributes to MLK and James Brown, social-themed songs, and even one about candy. It is so unique it is a must for everyone.
