Disco produced out of Canada... and it is glorious. Three of the four songs are covers: Redbone, T. Rex, and Free.. and the other original is perhaps the best. The method of finding this gem makes me so happy.. I looked through the 40,000 albums I downloaded while being a single, lonely man (no longer me, but time well spent) and prioritized listening to artists that I only had one release by... and it has been a fun project. A disco version of "Bang a Gong"? So solid.
I saw Daryl Hall getting interviewed for 60 Minutes like 40 years ago, and he was in an apartment above a street in Philly explaining his writing process.
I filter all these "records" through Daryl Hall's 1982 Philly apartment.
