Napster was wonderful. It was short-lived, but it exposed me to so much music at a time when you had to take a leap of faith and BUY a CD, often unheard, just to satisfy your curiosity.
Dan Bern. Wow. Not my usual type of guy, but I love so many of his songs. The opener here, "Jerusalem", was the first of his songs that I fell in love with, and I love it to this day. It is so bold. "I am the Messiah".
Listen to it for just the opener, and the following songs will likely engage you as well.
I don't love him, but I do. Does that make sense?
