Hank Williams - 1978 - 40 Greatest Hits

You have know doubt heard of Hank Williams. Did you know that he died at age 29?

Yeah, one of the most influential songwriters/singers died at age 29 from alcoholism.

He only recorded two true albums while alive, and of course, his era - he died in 1953 - preceded the popularity of the LP. This compilation, released in 1978, is his biggest selling album.

Isn't that weird? 1978. Many of you reading this remember 1978. Hank Williams gained some of his biggest popularity, and for good reason... hell, my favorite song by The Replacements is "If Only You Were Lonely", which is a Hank song through and through-- though it is a Westerberg song.. though they did cover "Hey, Good Lookin'"

Put this on when you're not feeling good emotionally. It'll cure what ails ya.
