This is the 15th solo album from singer/songwriter/guitarist Jane Weaver, but the first I have heard. I look forward to catching up on her older albums. She started in the 1990s in a Britpop band called Kill Laura, of which I am unfamiliar. Her music is described as "folktronica". In a review of one of her earlier albums NME wrote "Jane Weaver is the sound of Cat Power is she grew up next door to Oasis, stealing their Beatles records and outshining them at the school Christmas concert."
