John Lurie was the leader of The Lounge Lizards. He contracted Lyme Disease and, consequently, could no longer play his saxophone to the same level. Already an actor and a painter, he found his music outlet in the fictional character of Marvin Pontiac. It has so any great songs on it. John Lurie is among my favorite artists of any medium and I hold this album very close to my heart. The closer, "No Kids", is almost heartbreaking, and beautiful.
