Elefant - 2003 - Sunlight Makes Me Paranoid

 

One of only two albums released by the New York-based post-punk revival band Elefant. The leader of the band, Diego Garcia grew up in Detroit and Tampa, then attended college at the elite Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island (which I have heard is the hardest partying, most coked-out city in the country... and hell, good for them). After graduating he moved to New York to pursue music, and alongside bands like Interpol, The Strokes and The National, definitely had their moment in the sun... and it certainly resurrects an era that seemed so largely undefined for so long.
