Carole King - 1971 - Tapestry

  

That album cover feels like a window into my childhood. Something so perfect about it, a truly wonderful photo that captures the essence of one of the greatest albums ever made. I am not exaggerating. It is one of the best albums ever made. I would argue that "It's Too Late" alone could carry it, but nearly every song is great. It is an album by one of the best songwriters ever... look her up... and here she is, after a decade of doing the Brill Building thing, recording her songs in a way that feels like a Sunday morning when you know you have Monday off.
