John Waters possesses the rare personality that makes me feel like the world is just fine. Very few individuals have that impact on me. For some reason, Kathy Bates is another. There is just sort of an intelligence to him that seems to suggest that, yes, the world is fucked up, but that is far too boring to dwell upon. The world is also absurd, and in that we must rejoice. He's fantastic. And this compilation that he curated is too. Perfect for a Friday night!
